Marvel star Pom Klementieff releases a trash talk video directed at Chris Hemsworth that features some of her biggest Mission: Impossible 7 co-stars including Tom Cruise. Playing Mantis in the MCU, the actress debuted as the alien empath in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 from 2017.
Since her first appearance in the Marvel universe, Klementieff has reprised her role twice in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, but is expected to return for the currently undated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 film. Since her last two big screen appearances were through ensemble MCU films, she and the rest of her usually independently-operating teammates were able to mingle with the Avengers, including Hemsworth’s Thor. Granted that they didn’t get to spend much time together on screen, it appears as if the actors have a great rapport with Klementieff’s video going all out on trash talking the God of Thunder actor.
Shared by AGBO‘s official YouTube channel is a well-produced and stylish video of Klementieff dissing Hemsworth in French. This is part of the ongoing fantasy football league that directors Joe and Anthony Russo host every year for charity, and this week, Hemsworth, unfortunately, finds himself against the Guardians of the Galaxy actress. Arguably the biggest surprise from the clip, however, is the special appearance from Mission: Impossible 7 stars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, and Simon Pegg. Watch it below:
Production for Mission: Impossible 7 is supposedly still ongoing. Filming had its fair share of difficulties due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but they’ve managed to moved forward with set photos showing the cast wearing masks in-between takes. Klementieff is one of the few newcomers to the franchise which also includes fellow MCU star Hayley Atwell who played Peggy Carter — Captain America’s love interest. It’s curious why she was unable to partake in the shot considering that she and Klementieff seem to be spending a lot of time together as chronicled on social media. It’s worth noting that aside from appearing in the video’s parting shot, Pegg also directed and co-wrote the whole thing.
Before Klementieff came out with this stylish trash talk video, Paul Rudd already released a bizarre one directed at Robert Downey Jr. which was also for AGBO Fantasy Football. In his clip, Rudd not only updated the lyrics of Black Sabbath’s Iron Man song to diss Downey, but he also performed the track. As everyone waits if Klementieff ends up winning against Hemsworth for their match-up this week, it’s interesting to think what their next encounter would be like since the actors are supposedly set to work again via Thor: Love and Thunder, and maybe even Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as well.
